David Clubb Project Director David comes to Northwoods following posts at the Centre for Sustainable Energy and the Mid Wales Energy Agency. He has experience in managing various European contracts, and many local authority and commercial projects, and was a visiting lecturer on an MSc course on Renewable Energy and Resource Management. John Farquhar Projects Officer John grew up on a dairy farm in South Devon, graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Botany from UEA, before starting work for Conservation International and various other organisations throughout the tropics for 5 years on forest resources and biodiversity. On returning to the UK he worked for Forestry Commissions Forest Research on Short Rotation Coppice, after which he moved to Scotland where he was an arboriculture contractor before taking up his position as Projects Officer with Northwoods. Marc Barendrecht Projects Officer Marc joined the Northwoods team from Western Australia where he completed a Bachelor of Environmental Science (Hons). Since completion he has worked primarily in bushland restoration projects and bushfire operation and planning activities in the South West of Western Australia. Marc is looking forward to his time here in the UK and experiencing working in a very different environment and the many challenges it will pose. He hopes that his experience from past roles can lead to some new and exciting ideas about helping to maintain and enhance the unique environment found here in Northumberland.
