Eligible applicants

 

Ø      SME's for investment in harvesting, processing and marketing as well as the development of new outlets for the use and marketing of forestry products

Ø      Groups proposing to undertake co-operative activities to develop and strengthen the supply chain

Ø      Producer and marketing groups, in particular, concentrating on supply

Ø      New businesses to be established as part of the existing forestry supply loop

Ø      Landowners

Ø      Tenants and licensees of land

Ø      Forest and woodland management contractors

Ø      Forestry hauliers, for specific items of equipment

 

Eligible activities

 

To be eligible for grant aid, activities must fall within the categories referred to as ‘measures'.

 

Measure A: Investment to improve and rationalise the harvesting, processing and marketing of forestry products.

 

Measure B:  Development and promotion of new outlets for the use and marketing of forestry products.  

 

Measure C:  Establishment of associations of forest holders set up to help their members improve the sustainable and efficient management of their forests.
