The Forestry Commission's new Woodland Harvesting, Processing and Marketing Grant Scheme is an initiative to improve the competitiveness of forestry businesses.  The scheme was run as a pilot in some areas of the North East during 2006.  It is expected the the grant will be launched nationally during 2007 but the exact details are not available yet.
