21st century technology has been applied to ancient methods of heating. Wood fired boilers and stoves can be up to 90 percent efficient. From wood burning stoves to heat homes through to wood-automatic chip fired boilers and district heating schemes, woodfuel has become competitive on price and efficiency. This session covers the systems available on the market and some of the range of consumers currently using wood as a fuel including power stations and community heating programmes. |

This section of the ignite training course looks at the range of systems available and how each system is appropriate to different consumers. A significant portion of the module looks at the small to medium scale consumers - a huge potential market.
