NEWFuels Membership Information
There are two levels of membership:
1. Full membership - for potential woodfuel suppliers.
2. Associate membership - for woodfuel consumers, those wanting to be involved with the development of NEWFuels and are keen to show their support.
It was agreed that the membership fee for ‘Woodfuel Suppliers’ will be £50 per year and for ‘Associate Members’ will be £25 per year. Although this figure is somewhat lower than has been suggested in previous meetings, the Board of Directors felt that this figure will encourage wider membership and a lower annual membership fee. This, combined with a levy for every tonne of woodfuel supplied will encourage members to become involved with NEWFuels.

One half of the form is asking for straight forward information we need to register you as a member - to be completed by all members, the rest of the information on the form is to help the Northwoods team identify which members have which particular services available to offer.
Any information collected will NOT be shared with anyone - be it other members, other businesses or government agencies - this information is for us to gain a better understanding of the resources available in the North East and how much timber is available to supply to the rapidly expanding woodfuel market.
We’ve also put together a ‘NEWFuels Member Agreement’ document - it may appear to be quite a ‘heavy’ document by its nature - but it isn’t too much to get worried about! We apologise for this - but we need to get it right from the outset. Members need to agree to a set of rules laid out in advance to make sure the group operates smoothly in the future. We do already have the first five members signed up - the Board of Directors.
