David Clubb (Ph.D, FRSA)

David now works for the European Environment Agency. Ben Tansey is the Project Director of Northwoods.

David is a Chartered Physicist and an approved Lantra instructor for the Ignite woodfuel training course. He has worked in the biomass and fuel supply sectors for three years, and speaks regularly on the subject at events across the UK.

David comes to Northwoods following posts at the Centre for Sustainable Energy and the Mid Wales Energy Agency. He has experience in managing various European contracts, and many local authority and commercial projects, and has lectured at MSc level on Renewable Energy and Resource Management. He is responsible for overall operations at Northwoods.

He has particular expertise in:

• Project management
• Policy and research
• Biomass technologies and the woodfuel supply chain
• Economic analysis of biomass systems and their supply chains
• Woodfuel producer groups
• Renewable energy feasibility for all technology types

David is a committee member of the Energy Group at the Institute of Physics, a member of the Courvoisier Future 500 for 2008 and a Fellow of the RSA. He is also trustee for Sunseed Desert Technology with responsibility for Education, Publicity and Fundraising.
