There are four RPDE measures within this programme, full details and definitions are given below;
· Adding value to forestry products prior to industrial processing, for instance capital costs for new build and conversions, equipment and machinery, and associated infrastructure, consultant fees, feasibility studies and product development
· Infrastructure related to the development and adaption of forestry, for instance capital and associated costs for the construction or improvement of access roads, hard standing and storage areas
· The creation and development of microenterprises, for instance capital investment (processing equipment eligible under other measures will not be eligible here), start-up costs, market research and support
· Cooperation for the development of new products, processes and technologies, for instance research and development into a new process or technology
In order to be eligible for the programme the project must benefit bioenergy supply chains in the north east region.
There is a full time project officer to deliver this programme, who can offer support and mentoring for businesses wishing to apply for grant intervention.
