The Forestry Commission is having a local sale of small softwood timber lots at Chopwell Woods. The sale is via tender, the deadline for submission of Tenders is 17th August.

The lots are quite small (between 45 and 171 tonnes) of various softwoods, therefore suitable for chip or firewood. It is recommended that the lots are viewed before tenders are submitted. All bids are per cubic metre under-bark and the final measurement and quantity will be based on roadside stack measure done by the seller (FC). Payment once agreed must be with cleared funds cheque or cash before any timber is removed from site.
