RDI represents BEn project in Brussels
19 Apr 2010 11:31am
Two partners of the BEn project (Fraunhofer UMSICHT and RDI Ltd.) participated in an international symposium on biomass assessment methods and the adjacent workshop on biomass availability in Europe on 15-16 April 2010 in Brussels.
The symposium and workshop were organised jointly by the European Commission Directorate-General of Research and two EU projects “Biomass Energy Europe (BEE)” http://www.eu-bee.com/ and “Classification of European Biomass Potential for Bioenergy Using Terrestrial and Earth Observations” (CEUBIOM) http://www.ceubiom.eu.
The BEn partners used this opportunity to disseminate information about the BEn project and to exchange views on biomass availability in Europe. Also the newest results of research on biomass assessment methods has been reviewed, which will be a valuable input for the next BEn consortium meeting in Güssing (Austria) from 28 to 30 April.
The final day of the meeting in Austria will be dedicated specifically as a synergy group meeting with projects BEn, Make-It-Be and BioEnerGIS, with an aim to harmonise the key project working areas, of which the most important is the biomass assessment methods.
BEn project is co-funded by:
