Northumberland Community Flooding Partnership
This innovative partnership brings together a wide range of interested parties, with the aim of supporting a coordinated response to flooding, and using and promoting best practice in the county. For information on this project contact Andrew Kitching
The Partnership will improve co-operation between partners through enhanced information and equipment sharing which will result in better services. The activities delivered by the Partnership will support and improve community resilience to flooding.
Communities will be encouraged and supported in forming active localised community flood groups. Communities at high risk of flooding in Northumberland will be given flood planning support and community focused training on all aspects of flood resilience for before, during and after a flood. New approaches to improve community resilience to flood events will be developed. Best practice from the around the UK and further afield will be adopted.
