The Northumberland Fire Group aims to protect the Northumbrian environment, economy and rural community by minimising the risk of wildfire occurence through the delivery of 'wildfire prevention' activities, including:

High Wildfire Risk Sign

Provided to all fire group members to be used at times of high wildfire risk. The posting of the signs is linked to the Fire Severity Index (FSI) for England.

High Wildfire Risk Press Releases

Used to raise awareness about the potential of wildfire occurrence at times of increased risk throughout the year.

Wildfire Public Awareness DVD

Illustrates the real potential for wildfires to occur in Northumberland and steps the public can take to reduce the risk of wildfire occurrence. Shown in visitor and community centres across Northumberland. Follow this link to view the DVD.
