In this case study, we join a Northwoods woodland inventory demonstration event that showcased digital mapping platform, myForest (developed by Sylva Foundation), and its latest geospatial mapping feature and improved inventory functionality. Participants were introduced to woodland inventories and their importance in supporting woodland management operations, then headed into the woodlands to practice collecting information required for woodland inventories, before returning to input data into myForest. The latest myForest developments are a feature of the Northwoods Innovation Programme, which is working with innovators to develop tools and techniques that support woodland management.
